Parag Tyagi with Shefali Jariwala (Instagram)
New Delhi: Some days carry more weight than others, and for actor Parag Tyagi, December 15 is one of them. On Shefali Jariwala's birthday, he shared a deeply moving note on social media that felt less like a post and more like a quiet conversation with the woman he still holds close to his heart.
What makes the day even heavier is that it's also Parag’s mother's birthday. Two women who shaped his life, one still beside him, one living only in memories, share the same date that now carries love, memories, and an ache
Parag posted a throwback video on the Instagram that showed Shefali dancing happily with his mother to the song 'Zaalima' from Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Raees'.
The video, smiling, carefree and full of life, captures a moment from a time when everything felt complete.
Adding to the warmth of the memory is Simba, Shefali's pet dog, who appears in the video, making the moment feel even more homely and real.
Along with the video, Parag wrote about how fortunate he feels to have been guided by two women, his mother and his wife. The actor shared how both played a defining role in shaping the man he is today, standing by him through life and work with unwavering strength.
In his emotional note, Parag made it clear that his love for Shefali doesn’t stop with time, death or distance. He shared that his feelings will stay with him till his last breath and even beyond. The actor ended the note by wishing both his mother and Shefali on their shared birthday.
Parag shared the heartwarming video with the caption, "Log bolte hain ki ek aadmi ki saphalta ke peeche ek woman hoti hai, I am so lucky I have 2 women, Pari & Mummy. Doston imagine dono ka birthday same date hai aaj. 15th dec. Happy birthday my life. Love you till my last breath even after that."
It's not the first time Parag has spoken openly about his grief. Time and again, he has shared notes that reflect his belief that love doesn't end with life - it simply changes form.
Shefali, who rose to fame with the iconic music video 'Kaanta Laga', later appeared in films and popular reality shows like Bigg Boss, passed away in June this year following a cardiac arrest.
Actress Arti Singh also remembered Shefali on her birthday, sharing a picture from a Ganpati Puja.
Her message was simple yet heavy with emotion: “Happy birthday Shefu… today only I met bhau and we spoke about you. Still can’t believe you’re not here. Love you, angel. My beautiful Shefu.”
